Woodlands Waterway District is a flourishing commercial area featuring restaurants, hotels, business offices a beautiful water attraction as well as scenic areas to relax and unwind. The Waterway Square Fountains are within walking distance of various dining venues and are sure to become a favorite evening destination for residents of Houston, Spring, Conroe, and The Woodlands. The Woodlands Waterway is unique to the Greater Houston/Conroe area and both enhances the surrounding natural beauty of the area as well as increases community appeal while creating a place to meet friends, relax, and create happy memories.From high above in the air and from the surrounding buildings, the water wall and fountain are designed to resemble an ‘eighth note’. The water wall cascades down seven terraced levels and a stone wall to the lower pond. The 80 Choreo Jets in the upper fountain and are arranged in 3 concentric rings.

The Fountains at Waterway Square are close to The Woodlands Tinsletown Theater and are a distinctive addition to The Woodlands and augments the destination appeal for residents and companies who may choose to locate offices in the area. The centric and open-air atmosphere of the Waterway Square District allows for it to become another ‘signature’ gathering spot in the downtown area of The Woodlands.

The Waterway Fountains form the north border of Waterway Square Park. This open-air plaza includes a bench area under a grove of shade trees providing outdoor seating for rest and relaxation, an interactive childrens’ fountain and access to Public Restrooms that are available at 20 Waterway from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm, 7 days a week.

 

Live Music at Waterway Square

The plaza at Waterway Square is a great place to have lunch and during Spring Break 2009, it was also a great place to listen to live music. The festivities during The Woodlands Live at Lunch allowed visitors to experience the world-class fountains, and live music during Spring Break 2009. The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau hosted a preview to the 2009 Live at Lunch series at Waterway Square on Monday, March 16, 2009 and Wednesday, March 18, 2009 Ramon Torres was the featured musician. The Live at Lunch series began April 7, 2009 and ran every Tuesday through April 28, 2009. Additionally, Waterway Square is home to Live at Five which features live music from several different bands with various musical genres each Wednesday during warm-weather months.
